Church Housing online event to showcase two new initiatives

Two new initiatives within the Church of England's housing 'ecosystem' have got under way in recent weeks, which in the years ahead will lead to the provision of hundreds of homes and community support around the country.

We will be showcasing these two startups in our termly Church Housing online event, on 19th May at 6pm.

Come and hear Beki Winter talk about the Archbishops' Council Housing Project, which has just launched its small grants programme for parishes and dioceses. This will help local churches test the feasibility of transforming some of their existing properties to include some new housing.

Secondly, Aileen Evans will share the vision and plans for the Church Housing Association, whch has recently been registered by the Regulator for Social Housing.

We will also get an update from legal expert Jamie Huard about the 'best value' rule that governs the disposal of charity property, and how recent changes to charity law make it easier to make land available for truly affordable homes.

You can then put your own questions to these speakers in a panel session chaired by Bishop Guli Francis-Dehqani.

Register here for joining details, and see you on May 19th!
